I'd say shoot on site. I really have no respect for anyone that combines drugs, alcohol, and youngsters - especially when firearms are involved. My area of WI is permeated by scum like that and it pisses me off beyond belief on what "adults" expose their kids to. The fewer people like this, the better IMHO.

I find many people in society to be the "rush to judgement" types, ignoring both sympathy and empathy. And aside from both of those, I think or at least I hear many of em on these political talk shows, throwing out jail sentences like theyre candy. Guys and girls say stuff like give em 30years.......regardless of the crime, the only rational person on the panel a few times Ive seen was the lawyer! I remember this recent panel again were saying give him 30years, for a 1st offense etc....
I just think people either like to get reaction, or have no clue what fair is.....I have yet to read the above mentioned article, but my main point is that, everyone wants to throw the book at everyone else, until it happens to themself, or a loved one, then they beg/ask for sympathy, and I think, why didn't you have sympathy for the other guy?

Did any of you guys see the show where a boy killed another boy (I think drunk driving) The family of the dead boy wanted to forgive the other boy. Thier thought process was why make matters worse and nothing will bring our son back. How do you feel about this?
I would like to add that I am not taking a position on this, just throwing out some food for thought.

Magic,
That would be a tough one, and I think I would actually have to be in that situation to make a call like that. I am a christian and I know you are supposed to forgive, but like I said I don't truly know without being in that position....I also hope and pray I don't find myself in that position...
