Giraffes are dumb, I saw one at the zoo once licking it's own butt.

I hear ya, I catch myself sometimes wanting to offer advice/knowledge to those who don't want it. I now really only try to offer an opinion or advice when asked, or when discussing a topic and maybe offer another a suggestion or somethign to think of or consider, certainly not force it downt heir throats. Maybe this is a bit different from what you were referring to, I enjoy bowhunting and shooting, I think its just my nature to not only want to improve myself, but others too, but I have since realized that some guys are happy if their bow shoots ok/well and gets the job done, and I understand that, even myself, for instance I haven't gone to a drop away rest, I feel they're probably the best style on the market, but my current rest has me shooting great, so why change anythign I say.

though I think I would rather have guys around me that offered advice too often than those guys who won't let any secrets get out......ie if you see a monster buck, tell me, I want you to shoot it just as much as I want to shoot it.

saluki, yeh your on the right track here.. I only offer advice if I know what Im talking about, which isn't very often!!! Im a listener and I humble myself quite often. You guys know that I speak my mind about certain issues, but you will not and have not seen me chime in on too many big buck threads, I have killed em, but I ain't no expert and I know it. I can tell you what I did for each hunt, but it ain't anymore than what other guys do, find food, find dropping, find deer.

no Im not refering to anyone on here, this is for locals I know and some pro's that I have seen on shows. Some people I know personally just have this ora around them that here at hom and sometimes it just gets me and lately it has gotten me. And I thought Id throw in some people on tv while I was at it.
im not going to name anyone on the "pro" list cuz I ain't got the energy to fight about it on here. Just know that there are some that make me sick and they couldn't hold a light to some of you guys on here as far as hunting skills go.
Whew, I was getting kind of worried. But then I remembered that I don't have any bow kills to my name yet! I did pass on a button buck within 10 yards last year though, lol

yup VA, I always get a kick out of walking into Sportsmans or Cabelas archery shops dressed in my teaching clothes and just listening to all the talk. Funny how I dont get very good service either ...... some bowhunters/archers really get caught up in themselves and the elitist attitudes.. even if they have nothing to show for, but they sure act it and talk it.. I get that same vibe at about 50% or more of every proshop I have popped into ... Maybe its because I left my 4x4 dodge dieselparked in the garage and my camo clothes in the bins.. and showed up driving my kia ... aint cool enough for em..

I reckon thats why I like doing everything pretty much at home.. and visiting here about hunting..

Landon, I take it you didnt pocket the 2 grand last weekend. I have one extra spot on my club this year. My partner had an injury last week that will keep him out of bow season at least. If you want in, you need to bring one of your stands up soon because Im setting up my hangers and framed platforms up this month. There are only three of us now, so if you dont jump on it now...I will have to pass iton.

My cameras are out with 2 mineral spots and two food plots. Before you lose an opportunity to get a good spot, get up one saturday and scout with me to find a place for your stand! I have 4 ladder stands, 1 hanger, and a climber. get it on!!!!

Sure they do. The people like GregH are the people that set the good example teaching and helping people learnhunting. He's killed big bucks and I have never met or talked to the guy but he seems down to earth and it hasn't gone to his head. That's what we need representing this sport. I think before we had T.V. and hunting became more commercial we had more people like that.
