Default RE: Bow Selection

Buck magnet nailed, so many great bows that will fit into your budget. It boils to to fit and features you like. I have 2 martin bows (phantom mag and cougar mag both with the fuzion cam), they have been excellent. Easy to tune, shoot very good and not one tiny problem have I had. Martin haven' t been known to market or get in the lime light like others, but I can tell you having owned 3 prior and these 2 make a total of 5 martins...only strings and accessories had to be changed during ownership. I guess I am saying I think they GGGGGGGRRRRRRREEEEAAAATTTTTT, to coin tony the tiger.

I have accessorized them to my likes but that is the nice part of equipment, you can always swamp and trade out access. as they become avaialable and more applicable to your situation.

Hunting Fever,

Now that you are buying a bow, it IS a good time to consider switching to traditional archery. The recommendation given above for the Chek-Mate Hunter II is an excellent one.

I wish I had started with traditional 18 years ago when I first started bowhunting. Instead, I waited until three years ago. When I started shooting my first recurve, I found the FUN in shooting a bow again.

I now shoot a longbow, but it would be advised to start with a recurve to make the transition from compound to traditional.
