If you set up in the right spot w/ a constantly favorable wind , you can have a smoke and not alert a deer.
I have had many deer come in down wind while burning one.

its not needed but thay make more quality clothing than anyone else so thats why i get it....not for the carbon just for the quality
And you read Playboy for the articles too...

Wearing hot uncomfortable clothing in the deluded belief that it will make you invisible is a personal choice, and I'll pass. Biggest scam in outdoor marketing.
Having never worn the stuff I'd wonder how you knew about the comfort factor. As far as "hot" we wouldn't want to wear "hot" clothes in cold weather would we.You live in S. Indiana not Alabama for pete's sake.

Use your noggin and you'll know if you need it (I'm not saying you do or don't). As far as the rest of the world, most must not think as the majority here do if store sales are any indication. Few and far in between.

If you don't need it (opening comment) why ask? Then again it's been a while since any S.L. threads have been going here.

I've said it once, I'll say it again:

Scent Lok has amazing powers which, in fact, can save you from anything. Not only can it fool a whitetail's amazing snout it can also save you from:

Being Burned Alive, Alien abductions, being busted with drugs, smelling bad on a first date, and even the armageddon.

Hiding bombs, and narcotics are only the begining of its greatness,It's amazing stuff, the use is endless.

I just about fell in the floor when I read that, good stuff Kyle. I don't think it's a must, but they do make quality garments and like Mobow said, every little bit counts. If it would bring them 20yds closer, that might make all the difference.

Any Scent dilution is a great advantage. Deer here in IL. must learn to live with a certain amount of human scent. If you can fool them to think your scent is at a distance out of their comfort zone then you have won the battle.

Deer hardly react to Human scent in the fashion wilderness Elk will. If they did they would never stop running in Midwestern rural America.

I have actually had very few deer blow out on me since I have implemented a solid scent control regimen, which includes the use of Scent Blocker

Scent control is an all or nothing game.

I ve never used it so I cant say it works or not. I ll play the wind. "IF" the winds right I wouldnt think youd need anything but when do they not come in from behind you........
Its toughfor me to believe that they can eliminate human odor with outus being in a bubble.

Next new idea......."Bubbleflage"

I got a good laugh out of that comment. Thanks!

I believe this is the first response I've ever made in a "scentlok" thread. I don't use the stuff, so I can't say whether it works or not. I'm sure it has to at least do something good. Even if it does everything they claim it can do, I'd still say no, it's not really needed. Beneficial? Provided it works, yes. Technically, you don't really need camoflage, scents, decoys, calls, rangefinders, feeders, food plotsor like Mobow said, evencompound bows, carbon arrows or steel broadheads to kill deer..... but they sure do make the job easier.

Everytime I see this comment I wonder if people really want to admit to being a fart sniffer.
