Don't use it, and don't feel a need to use it, but I won't bash it either. If you have the money and it makes you feel better, then go for it.

If I had money to blow on a full suit (preferably not the base layer stuff) I might give it a shot, but at $300-500 for a cold weather set-up, (because outside of the first couple weeks of the season it is mostly cold weather hunting) I can't see spending the extra cash on something that has not definitively been proven effective, at least to what I have looked into....I will stick with my sprays, airtight totes, and showering with a obsesssion bordering on fanatiscm for wind watching.....

It may not be a must have, but If you feel that it helps you and you dont care to pay for it what does it hurt.

Is it needed? No, but I prefer to use it and take advantage of anyhelp I get in controling my scent. My scent control regimen includes many things, Scent Blocker included, but that is just a start. I wear it because I have seen favorable results many times while wearing it and I hunt in Camo clothes anyway so it might as well be Scent Blocker.

Scent Blocker's 08 line has some awesome selections thatI would be interested in even without the Scent blocker advantage.

No One NEEDS Scent-Lok , or camo, or a compound bow. You don't even need a treestand, just run the deer over w/ your truck.
I use it bc I have seen the additional benefits to my scent control system. I rattle and call a lot. Bucks always come from downwind. I MAY not see 'em all , but the one's I see come from downwind aren't spooky in the least.
And I don't use it bc I am a dealer. I sell a lot of other archery equipment I don't use, or like.
If you set up in the right spot w/ a constantly favorable wind , you can have a smoke and not alert a deer.
