Focusing on the Spots
At my local archery range (outdoor) we have a series of target bags set out to 70 yards. Ever since I purchased my Hoyt Vulcan I have been having trouble focusing on the multiple spots on the targets. This is not a peep sight issue but more of a concentration issue. If I put a paper plate (8") in the center of the target I can usually hit that no problem out to 50yards with 6 arrows. But as soon as I try to hit one of the the smaller spots that are painted on the targets (4") or so my group opens up a lot more than the size of the paper plate. Another thing I notice is that no matter how hard I try I struggle getting my self to hold on the spot I am aiming at it almost feels as if my bow weighs 20lbs and I can't bring the bow up to the intended spot of impact without a lot of concentration and keeping my finger off the trigger. Is this what some consider target panic? Any ideas or tips on licking these issues?
