Shawn, Jeff, and Dan went out this morning to Shawns farm where he killed his bird opening day. High winds and cloudy conditions had the birds keeping quiet. They heard a few gobbles in the distance but that was it. Shawns farm is a bottoms property that floods easily. With all the rain that we have had in the past few days, i think it pushed the birds out of the area temmporarily.

After that they headed to another property to see if they could spot or strike up some birds. No luck there.

They then headed to another farm and spotted some birds, went back to the truck to get their stuff and move in on them. When they got back the birds were gone. After walking around they noticed some 4-wheeler tracks and later realized that the farmer was feeding his cattle...

Another tough day. Dan is coming with me in the morning to a spot where i was covered in birds today. Im going to try to roost them this evening so we know exactly what to do in the morning!

Any word on the actual size of Dan's fingers?

You could probably show us, in terms of average width:

A.) / /
B.) / /
C.) / /
D.) // (future proctologist)

More like "facination" rather than "fixation"

I talked to him this afternoon. He was out mushroom hunting behind Jeff's house. I sure hope he didn't scare them off the roost too, or have a coyote chase them off.

Good luck with the birds in the morning, Dan. Stick a big ole long beard on camera.
