Have you guys had any luck yet? I know there was a thread yesterday, but any luck this morning?

Shawn, Jeff, and Dan went out this morning to Shawns farm where he killed his bird opening day. High winds and cloudy conditions had the birds keeping quiet. They heard a few gobbles in the distance but that was it. Shawns farm is a bottoms property that floods easily. With all the rain that we have had in the past few days, i think it pushed the birds out of the area temmporarily.

After that they headed to another property to see if they could spot or strike up some birds. No luck there.

They then headed to another farm and spotted some birds, went back to the truck to get their stuff and move in on them. When they got back the birds were gone. After walking around they noticed some 4-wheeler tracks and later realized that the farmer was feeding his cattle...

Another tough day. Dan is coming with me in the morning to a spot where i was covered in birds today. Im going to try to roost them this evening so we know exactly what to do in the morning!

Haha here, see for yourself. They are pretty big, but i got big italian fingers too so i cant talk munch...

I talked to him this afternoon. He was out mushroom hunting behind Jeff's house. I sure hope he didn't scare them off the roost too, or have a coyote chase them off.
