The point is, the higher the hunter is placed, the more the hunter is able to get away with. His scent is no longer much of an issue,
Absolutely well said! I dont see where people believe this eliminates there smell! IMO... it almost makes sense to me that the higher up you are the farther out the wind can carry your scent, just speaking here.

I go about 10-20 feet. I would go higher but I have said before the first time I was ever hunting by myself my stand broke and I came tumbling down the tree. So 20 feet is plenty and I error towards 10 most of the time

I'm not a fan of nosebleed heights so I usually stay between 12' and 25'. It's hard to get real high where I hunt anyway because the understory is pretty thick.
