Does anyone find that shooting at the pro shop is fine but to really get the feel of a bow really see what it is all about you need to ge it home and shoot at your range.Up high far away your sight and so forth.

I just recently purchased a General. With regards to other bows (Drenalin, Katera, Truth, etc) I fround that General felt more comfortable to me than any other bow. I think that's what's important. With the technology that has been designed in the new line of speed bows, your really not going to go worng. Heck, I used a Clearwater Archery Power Mag for years (10yrs old),and after shootingthe General I was HOOKED!Quiet, center gravity, silky smooth, fast, good draw cycle.....and many others. So, my advice is take the time and shoot many other brands to get what feels comfortable in his hands. I will say Bowtech is a good choice and I think you would be pleased with thier products.Hope this helps.

I've shot the X-Force in a draw length too long for me and it definately doe feel harsh. However, in my correct DL (about 28"-28 1/4") the draw actually isn't bad. The XForce stack up quicker and drops off faster. Bowtechs (or atleast the Allegiance and the new Airbornes) draw for a bit and then have a pretty sizable "hump" before you hit the valley. Once again if you aren't shooting the correct DL, that hump will just about kill you. My experiences are only with speed mods though.
