How long do you usally wait to replace your string? Also how many shots do you estimate you take before it NEEDS to be changed due to streching or ware etc...

Never yet...I fire a 100 arrows before bow season... and then I punch the lungs...I can't help it...I chase my little babies around...no time for 3D once a week...

But believe me...I scout...I shoot guns...my bow..trail cams...I dabble in it...more than mom would like..but thats what she married..she knew it....

I put new strings on all my bows(3 recurves/3 longbows)about 6 weeks before the season opens to break them in.When I buy a new bow,I make up a new string for it and throw the old one out

Just had my string replaced by BullRider115 after one year of owening the bow , if you do alot of shooting though out the year.
You should check and WAX your strings on a regular basis , once it starts to fray and seprerate it's to replace them.
