Oh yeah, Tony.;) I'll be back at it tomorrow......Thursday.....all day Friday and Saturday.

HOG....I've owned both of these sights and "might" could give you some more insight if you're interested. If not....good luck with your choice. Sounds like you've narrowed it down to quality sights.
Hey how much are those sights that you are talking about?

I may have some questions for you and Dan on some sights if its allright with you!

I think they're coparatively priced. I'm guesing in the $150-$160 range.

You can't go wrong with either.

Here's what the Viper looks like. They have lesser priced versions as well....if you don't need the 3rd axis adjustment.

I'm sorry I got caught up in this. I don't doubt (truly) anyone's sincerity in this thread (conviction towards a product).....to a man.

Hog, GMMAT had a Spott Hogg on his sight (excellent sight) until he saw my Viper, my Viper was brighter plain Jane.

You can go direct to Viper Archery Products and pick up the microtune (Pro MT) for $149.95. The Pro 2000 (no MT) is around $120 and down for others. You can order in what pin size and configuration/color you wish. Pound for pound they are priced better than Spott Hogg at equal size. The Spott Hogg equivalent is closer to $189 up.

However, if I didn't own a Viper, I'd own a Spott Hogg, perhaps Sword.

I currently own 4 Vipers, 3 MT's and one 2000. In my honest opinion, if you don't need MT, the 2000 is one of the best sights on the market. (It still has 3rd axis, just not microtune).

Ahhhh, go buy yourself a Vital Bow Gear Proslide with 1 up pin and glow ring under about 1 1/2 feet of green fiber. Stays bright green 30 minutes after dark and can be revitalized with about 10 minutes of light exposure to last another 30 minutes in dark conditions. (Like black night)

My only complaint with the Spot Hogg line of sights is the angled pins... I prefer a true horizontal pin setup and Spot Hogg doesn't offer this... I will say nothing feels better built than a Spot Hogg sight....

I currently have Copper Johncompetition and Viper "hunter style"sights on my bows.

Both are nice, I do like the CJ's better than the Viper at this time.

I've owned a couple different Spot Hoggs, and likeBuckeye don't feel there's a more solid, tank-like sight on the market.

And Jeff's right -- they weren't very bright, and always required a retro-fit with Fitz Fibers ... BEFORE they came out with the new Hogg Wraps. With that feature, they fixed their worst problem and I feel offer the premiere sight on the market. I love the vertical aiming wire.

I also own a handful of Extreme RT 900s and like them very well for what they are, since I regularly set up so many new bows for personal use every year. But the Spot Hoggs go on my very favorite and most-used bows... a Hunter Hogg It for my Ally, and a Hogg-It for 3d shooting.
