Who would have thought that with all the things out in the world to enjoy, that our passions would converge in the woods while carrying a bow? I think its just amazing when I look back on my life and the things I have done.....and how fun/important bowhunting has become to me. Wow I am lucky that someone planted a seed in my soul.

I think what makes it amazing is that the woods know no social class(Unless you can afford a guide to put you on animals). In the woods we are all equal and we are all brothers as long as we respect what god has given us. The woods can bring anyone together and make you appreciate a friendship. The woods also teaches us every day we go out, you can't say that about a lot of hobbies and sports.
I have friendhips that I would never have if it wasn't for hunting and they are the friendships I tend to appreciate most.

I planted my own seed but I concur virginiashadow, bowhunting/archery has taken me many places, brought me many things and enlightened my life incredibly.

I seem to turn into a different person when I'm in the woods. That predator instinct just kicks in. Everything in the world makes sense to me. It's fair and real. I feel like I was born to hunt. Even my girlfried says there's a twinkle in my eyes during hunting season. The best way to sum it up is I feel alive.

Well I just got off of work at 11pm---set the alarm for 4:30AM to get up for my first spring gobbler hunt......tired as hell but hey, I love the woods! .......I am going to be hurting tomorrow. Nothing could drive me to do this but bow hunting.

And Rob, I planted my own seed as well as I chose to hunt when noone else in my family did, or any of my friends. I just got my license and then learned......that even seeing 1 deer was awesome! For that is all I saw the first year I believe
