It looks to me like you will have a TON of locations. That steep ridgeline paralleling the creek looks to be a good roosting site for the Turkeys as well. Are you allowed to turkey hunt as well? Congrats on the new land.

Matt, you put a stand where that red dot is, and hunt it during the rut, and I guarantee you will see bucks.
That has to be a major cruising intersection.

Also, I'm not sure if I can get turkey permission or not, but I'll know more next weekend when I get in there. I bet it wouldn't take too much to get turkey permission, depends on if any of the others in there are hunting them as well. We will see.........
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'm listening to all of them. Any more suggestions are welcome......keep it coming!

Also the openings on the S/W look to be on or near thepoint of the ridgeline. You should have oaks to hunt there andthat "point" in a ridgeline will funnel bucks traveling the sidehill trails.

What type of road runs through the property in the center? Dirt road? Little traffic? Follow the road from the center of the picture noth...where you see woods on both sides (basically touching) of the road...deer may choose to cross here due to the provide security on both sides of the road. It appears there only choice other than that (to move east and west across the property) would to stick to the cover in the bottom southern part of the property, or travel through large patches of open field. Just a thought...I've actually had good success at a crossing like this on our driveway. They generally cross at one point in particular.

My favorite terrain features on "paper".....
For the yellow area I would look for a bench or old logging road running along with the ravine..... For the red I would look for where they are coming around that "point".
