Default Some scenery of VA/NC.... built in quiz question.

This is some scenery from around me, granted not my back yard but not far. Everything you see is NC, but right behind me is VA(what you cant see) You can see how the Blue Ridge Mountains just drop off into flat land, except for one trademark mountain.... The mountain i zoomed in on.... Does anybody know what mountain this is? If not i'll later give a clue.... No Locals allowed... GMMAT, NChunterman, brokenarrow, LKN.... ETC. Lets see if anybody can get it right first. I will send the first NON-LOCAL winner a buck decal for your window, I got it in the mail for free, i dont need it, It's laying around somewhere, ill find it.

Some scenery:

The quiz picture, also seen unzoomed in some pics above...

I live in VA.... and honestly I think I know... but I'm not sure... I don't want to spoil it.. being born in Marion I probably don't qualify... last time I was in that part of the state was running around at Radford and Tech hunting girls with little/no moral fiber (and its a right rich hunting ground if you are in the area and into that sort of thing... kinda like fishing at the aquarium...with dynamite...).

I'll PM you buckmaster.... I'm curious more than anything else...

It's Pilot Mountain.

I cheated cause I was told when I was down there at Jeff's. I drove right by it and here's a picture I took for my journal that week.

I was as well, and I'm even used to seeing the mountainous (not sure if that's a word? [8D]) views. I wasn't able to stop and take pictures though, I was too busy trying to make good time

I was going to take a stab at it honestly and say Pilot mountain. I was up at Sage Creek a while back and went to Mt. Airy that's whenI first saw it. ButI guess I'm local, been living South ofthe area for 8 years. It is beautiful country up that way. If you guys get over that way there is a great restaurant right off I-77 at exit 85 (I think it's exit 85) you can see it from the interstate. It looks like a Pirate Ship, extremely inexpensive and very good Seafood.
