.... it pours.

Guys,
I went to the hospital yesterday to get a blockage repaired. When I was there, My GF called to say that she was in another hospital closer to her work. She was the one who drove me there and was going to pick me up the next day (today). She temporarily lost her vision!, Yikes! Today she is having some tests done.

It gets worse.......... after she called, a friend of my son's called to inform me that my son had just wiped out on his bike. Yeah, he had to have a crotch-rocket. He's owned it for about 3 weeks. Now he has a fractured neck. It's not as bad as it could've been. He'll be wearing a neck brace for about 12 weeks and hopefully it will heal on it's own. If not he'll need surgery. I imediately left my room and was waiting for him to arrive via ambulance. It kind of freaked out the staff when my heart monitor went dead and they couldn't find me! What would you have done?

I just got home and am about to go back to both hospitals to see how they are doing.

The only thing I can think of right now is ......WTF!

Once I find out, I'll let you know.

WOW, that's terrible. Talk about a horrible day. My thoughts are with you, your GF, and son, all of whom I hope make a full recovery.

Wow, hopefully it's true when they say bad things happen in 3s. That way you've paid your dues for a while. I'm really sorry to hear that. Hopefully everything will turn out OK.Keep us posted.

WOW GREG I know what you mean about it when it rains it pours. I had a co-worker have a similar problem as your GF, it almost sounds like a blood sugar issue. Thats how he found out he had diabetes. He had temporary blindness. My prayers are with you and your loved ones.

Thanks for your thoughts, I'm going back to see my son right now and found out the GF is feeling fine. I'm also going to take some pics of the bike.

Greg, I know it all happened at once but the lord doesn't
put us through anything that we can't handle....Hang in there

Dang Dude. Don't be buying any lottery tickets. Your luck is running bad for sure. I hope everything works out for all your loved ones. They both have very scary symptoms or injurys.

Your right ... when it rains it does pour , really sorry to find out about all of your problems and I really do hope and pray that everything comes out ok for all of you.
I don't want to even tell you what I have been going though since last Feb. , it seems like it's allways one thing after another and it never stops.

I can't thank you enough for your support. The GF is feeling fine and won't find out the test results until Monday (keeping fingers crossed). My son is home with a neck brace for the next 12 weeks and has scheduled appointments for continued X-rays to monitor his healing. Hopefully, he won't need surgery to fuse his vertebrae. Me, well nothing I didn't already know..... stop smoking and watch what I eat.

FYI, I tried everything, including cash, to deter him from buying this crotch-rocket. As you can see, it didn't work. No, I didn't tell him..... I told you so! He was too spaced out to comprehend as you can tell from the pics.

Well you could look at it this way it could of been worse with your son. I know it don't make the situation any better but someone obviously was looking out for him or he wouldn't be here at all. Hang in there and get well guys, that goes for all the Hansons!!;) Good luck with the g/f too, I hope everything works out there also.

Glad to here everone is ok. Those bikes can be bad news in the wrong hands. Younger guys tend to learn like your son did. Speed kills and he was lucky. They can be fun but dangerous at the same time. It only takes one mistake.

Anyway keep us posted on the GF it seems weird what happened to her. And take care of yourself so we can hear your stories of the hunts in the future.
