Wolf hunting: coming soon?
#1
I saw on the news that the federal government just removed the grey wolf from the endangered species list, meaning that states are free to institute hunting seasons on wolves if they wish.
So, how long before we can legally hunt wolves? In the western UP there's more than enough, and I'd love to stick one if I got the chance (legally of course).

In fact now I do carry slugs - Sorry know this is an archery forum - but this is one animal I saw no reason to bring back.

If I stick one will Spartans be knealing at my feet and make me king? The question is, would you stick around through prime time to have a chance at one? I don't know if I would like the walk back in the dark, lol

Your an idiot. This isn't some private place where you can just talk some smack. You are even putting it down in type. You just admitted you will break the law if it suits you. Things like that said publicly can ruin your life, guilty or not.
These comments aren't just for you, but everyone. Don't say things like this on the net. Nothing is deleted.
I don't like the wolf at all, but I'm not going to ruin my life killing one illeagally.THe wolf will do what it has in the past, become a menace. The people will cry again, and then justice will be served. Were hunters! Were patient! The bad guys will be seen for who they are as long as we don't give them a direction to point their boney fingers in.
I don't have anymore of a desire to kill a wolf than I do hang a murderer, but some unpleasant things must be done by the maturest among us.

Just saw this on the internet. In Idaho, at least, you can kill them effective immediately if they are after livestock or pets.
"On Friday, Idaho Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter signed a bill to allow ranchers, outfitters and pet owners to kill wolves harassing livestock. The law gives owners up to 72 hours to report wolves they've killed after catching them annoying, disturbing or stalking animals or livestock."

The Timber wolves are getting to be a big problem in Northern Minnesota as well. I'm sure it won't be long and a season will be open here as well. All in all we need wolves around as they do help control our deer heard and keep it healthy. But if you have to many they will diminish a deer heard in no time and also cause havoc with the Livestock farmers also. They do have to be kept in check no dought. I would love to have a rug of one!
