Default Spot Hogg pin sight question

Would the larger .029 sight pins be better for 3D and hunting? Or would you go with the .019? I' m going with a Spot Hogg Real Deal.

Va,

I have the Right -on sight with .019 ,and at this point may change to .029 for hunting. The small sights are bright but the larger ones may just give a few more minutes of visibility at dusk or dawn.

because of the d*mn weather I have not had a chance to shoot the .019 outside at dusk yet. So I guess what I am trying to say is I really don' t know[:-]

I try and keep my pins at .019 for bothe hunting and 3d.
With the smaller pins you can hone in on a hair

You can also go with mixed sizes such as .029 for closer yardages & .019 for farther. The tritium pin is a neat deal too.

I have the Spott Hogg and the .019 and think I would use it for both. Just a suggestion. If you want the pin a little bigger you can pull the fiber out and heat the end till you get what you like. I found this out because I ordered 3 green fibers to change my sight to all green and you have to heat the ends before installing. You have to be very careful as a little heat goes a long way. Don
