Yeah David thats what I am doing wrong, but I think the only real resolution to my climbing problem is finding bigger trees(like mobow mentioned) so that the top "V" part will be tight against the inside of the tree instead of wrapping around the back side!
Other then that I will have to stick with my shorter strokes with the smaller trees if I decide to go with a summit t-stand, because I dont intend to climb wothout the sit feature!
Oh well I got some thinking to do!!
If they just wouldnt have that damn appealing summit 360 max, I would have long forgot about the Summits!![:-]

Well, shorter strokes are good. You're not as likely to have fall out.[&:] Seriously, shorter is safer. When we hurry we're opening a whole new bag of problems. I'm guilty of it too.

Don't use the sit feature and use it like a hand climber or put the seat section above your head and do pull ups using the side rails.....I can cover 3 feet or more per "move" using it this way.
