Thanks Jeff, I'm pretty much sold on getting the Viper then. 18 feet should be a couple of less cycles also, do you ever fall a sleep in it?

For a hang on, I use the gametamers. They are the most comfortable that i have ever tried in the last 10 years, but they are not light and where I hunt a climber doesn't work too well, not too many straight trees. www.gametamers.com I have them set at different heights, depends on the terrain 16-30' up in the tree.

I use climbers, ladder stands, and hang ons. All my ladder stands and hang ons are right about 18-20ft. I tend to go higher in my climber, I normally hunt around the 25ft mark, but have been known to go as high as 40ft when needed.

I use a Summit Viper as well. I relly like it for many reasons. One key reason is the weight of it... at 20 lbs. you can't go wrong especially on those long walks. And I usually hang it about 15'-20'.

Last year I caught Dick's sporting goods during a clearance and bought 4 comfort zone ladders at 15' and one comfort zone hang on. I have a home made ladder I use with 2 15' pieces to put the hanger at about 30'.

Just got a gametamer climber but havent put it to use yet.

I got the Sumit Viper too. its great, except im terrified of the climbers.. ahah im a big chicken. I like the ladder stands if its possible over the climber any time! but as far as climbers i dont even think they are more than 15#, they are so EZ to put on backstrap (backpack style) its great and the main reason i bought it. its really good, my two buddies got some climbers but liked mine better as well.
