I shot a doe with my bow and she never showed any sign of being hit.She was walking slowly and I double lunged her. She never broke stride, went about 30 yds. got wobbly, sat down and died.

Heck yea! My big 8 last year did that. Walked about 40 to 50 yards and tipped right over. I've had 1 bear to this as well. Neither animal had a clue they were hit.

All the deer I've shot have bolted first.

I have seen on shows where deer go back to eating and fall over. All different kinds of reactions.

I've had mortally wounded deer run off like a raped ape in sneakers, I've had them 'trot' off and wobble/fall within 40 yds., But never had one act like I DIDN'T just shoot it.

Most have bolted...but I did have one just stand there like you described........I was certain I had missed and I nocked another arrow just as the doe started to walk away......then (before I could even draw again) she fell over.......dead.

I've had a couple that only took a hop or two after being hit. The most noticeable was the lat buck i shot. He took one hop and kept glaring at the buck he was keeping away from his doe. I was reaching for another arrow whenI saw the blood from the wound & his mouth. He slumped down right there.

I've seen the No reaction a couple of times. It's kind of weird I was thinking did I miss, but it's a relief to see them fall over.

Every deer I've hit know they've been hit and so have I, they take off like a wild banshee doing the curly shuffle!
