I can't remember ifI read this somewhere before, or dreamed it up. Are these heads ok for a body shot on turkeys or head shots only?

I wouldn't consider it.

A turkey's vitals are small enough to begin with, using a head that small would significantly decrease your chances of a lethal [body] hit.
