Nothing on my bows that I would consider overkill...espicially my right handed bow.

I don't really need five pins with 20 feet of wrapped fiber.

I don't really need the lightest weight peep available on the market.

I don't really need a fall away rest.

I don't really need an STS.

I suppose I could get rid of quite a bit and still kill animals just as effectively.

heck, id say most of our whole rigs are over kill...the past proves we dont need what we have to hunt....

but based on a "typical" bow hunting rig, id say my viper sights are probably overkill....010 pins and an extention just isnt really needed for a 20yd shot on a deer IMO...but, i love my sights!

Let's see. I don't use sights. I shoot fingers and use a simple flipper rest, although arthritis flare-ups are making me lean toward hunting with a release now. Sometimes I've got a stabilizer on the bow. My arrows run about 560 grains with 5" feathers and wear cut on contact 2-blade broadheads. Even when I'm using my compound, I'm still shooting traditional. So, nope. No overkill.

The only thing about my setup that is overkill is the guy behind the arrow. I mean seriously, it's just not fair.

I am sure there are things on my Bow that are actually overkill, but none I would part with. $200 sight for one thing. 1st sight I ever played with was a painted toothpick taped on my bow.

Kids will do what they have toKilled my 1st rabbit with that Bow too.
