Visit http://www.huntersfriend.com/bowselection.htm

It is a great place to start if you are interested on Compound Bows. You' d think there wasn' t that many complicated terms and physics involved when shooting an arrow just like indians did thousands of years ago... Boy was I wrong when I got into bowhunting.
After a good setup, practice all summer, and you' ll be ready next fall.
Don' t bother with a ' starter' bow.... If you like hunting, you' ll LOVE bowhunting, and you' ll end up buying a nice setup because your first season is over!

Welcome to the addictive world of Bow hunting

I agree with kc bowhunter. I haven' t seen anyone make it past a year with a " starter bow" . Most friends have sold those type bows after a short period of time for a big loss. If you become a fanatic, I say shoot as many bows as you can, visit all the local pro-shops, read this forum, and read every magazine you can . Make your decision after that !! Best of luck .....your in for a lot of frustration and a whole lot of fun !!!!!

It' s a bow, and sights, and quiver, and arrows, and broadheads, and a rest.

You can get full setups sometimes on Ebay from guys who are giving up bow
hunting.

Old compounds kill deer just as dead.
