If I could only have one? I don't know. I have at least one of each. I picked up the bag first and added from there. I now have 2 bags, 2 3-D, and one BH.

I used to go through the cheap bags about 1 a month. Then I bought an outdoor range and it was out in the weather. It lasted about a year.I was shooting several hundred arrows a weak into it then.
The roof has atleast tripled the life of the target and this one has been recovered. I have been shooting it several years now but no where near as much as the original one.

Dont get a Yellow jacket. They may be cheap, but I havent even put 200 shots in mine and they are going all the way into the fletching. I have had to patch 2 holes in my apartment because they are passing through, and i even tried stomping on it to distribute the stuffing again. This did not work either.

Potatoe Bag
Been putting arrows into my potatoe bag for 5 years and I shoot 3 times a week putting about 100 arrows into it. All you do is go to the grocery store and ask the guys in Produce for one of their potatoe bags that are made of string. The good thing is their is no cost and you just refill the next bag once it's worn out with the excisting stuffing. The thing about them is they are stitched in a way that their are holes big enough for the fieldpoint to go through with out ever tearing material. I've had mine in the elements and have never had it even get mold on it. I take it on my weekly hunts to practice withwhilewhile away from home. All you do is fill the bag with old clothing. You'd be surprised at how easy the arrows come out,it's like their comming out of air. I spray painted 5 dots onto it and all you need is a good size stick to lean it against so that it won't fall over. My friend filled his with platic and it is just as good, only he gets plastic on his field point edges where the arrow connects to the field point. Give it a try.

Do just what Tfox said if you shoot a lot and have the room. The Outdoor Range bags are awesome but you need to protect them. I'll probably go one step farther with mine and hang a tarp front and back that I can flip up out of the way to keep the sun and rain/wind off it.
Also the way he has it set up is IMO the best way. Let it hang. Don't anchor it at the top and bottom because you want just a touch of swing. They are heavy and won't go swinging all over the place but by letting it float some of the arrow energy is used in making it move and I don't think they penetrate as far. When you anchor it top and bottom the entire force of the arrow goes into penetration and you'll wear it out quicker.
Man do they ever take a lot of shooting though. Not sure how one person could realistically wear out the whole thing in YEARS of hard shooting.
