Would You

But in this case it sounds like the guys back-up plan was to use a rifle. You don't just scramble around in the under-brush and find one.
His hunt, his decision..my hunt my decision. Muleys are a different animal than whitetails. I've heard guys say they wouldn't shoot at an animal over 25 yards..you'ld leave a lot of muley hunts empty handed if bow hunting with those limitations. But again your hunt..your decision.

If you were in that situation on a guided hunt and it had come down to the last day - both bow and rifle are legal would you opt for the rifle or continue to take your chances with a bow

I wouldn't hesitate to load up my Kentucky rifle and do the deed. No way I'm spending all that money on a guided hunt and come home empty handed. Especially if I wound up with a crappy guide that can't help me get in bow range... or, more likely, prevents me from getting in bow range.

My opinion is that anyone that claims they would stick to the bow is in one of two situations:
1) They have plenty of good hunting ground with deer of choice and don't really care that they are going home empty handed.
or
2) Stubborn as a mule.

To all the people worried about coming home empty handed on a guided hunt;
I’d really suggest that if you ever do go, make sure it is guaranteed.
I’m sure that will offend some, sorry ahead of time.
