Would You

Seen a show last night where a guy was hunting in Canada with a bow for huge mule deer, he decided he could not get to the deer with a bow and had his buddy scrambling around trying to find a rifle

So got me to thinking - If you were in that situation on a guided hunt and it had come down to the last day - both bow and rifle are legal would you opt for the rifle or continue to take your chances with a bow

I would continue to Bowhunt and leave emptyhanded if I were in that situation

I would never use an outfitter, but for the sake of argument, I would say I would opt for the firearm. I guess the way I see it, if I paid for an outfitted hunt, I must have done so in order to have a shot a trophy, so last day of the hunt, a firearm is legal, a firearm is what I would have.

It's pretty simple for me. I've chosen to go after them with a bow for a reason.....a personal decision. Nothing against how others do it.

It's just a deer......and they make 'em every day. If I can't take one on my terms.....to do so otherwise would be a hollow victory.

X 2 Other than shotgunning turkeys (which I also bowhunt), I doubt I ever take another animal with a rifle.
