Before I was married I could bowhunt as much as I wanted. Now with family it gets harder every year to find time to hunt period. I enjoy chasing whitetails in all 3 seasons, when I can. If I could take a Booner with any weapon and kill it quickly, 1 shot. You bet!!! If I was forutante enough to take it with my bow, it would even be sweeter!

Is Jessica Alba more pretty than Britney Spears in her prime.
Yeah but is Jessica worthy of filet minjonand lobster tailand Brittney only worthy of sirloin and shrimp?
OMG how dare you insult the almight steak! And who are you to judge that lobster is better than steak? What if there are people who happen to like steak better?

See my point? It's just a matter of preference.

And for the record, if all it took was sirloin and shrimp for me to hop on the gravy train, I'd do it. This is gonna be a looooong off season huh?

I've probably killed as many deer with a bow as I have a gun and I'd have to say yes, I'd take it with a gun unless I just happened to be bowhunting at the time. Some of the easiest kills I have made were with a bow. I don't see much difference where I hunt but then I've shot deer as close as 20 yards with a gun and as far away as 40 with my bow. Folks, I'm going to hunt deer, buck or doe, with whatever weapon is in season. They all tasted the same to me regardless of what weapon I used.

In a New York second!!!

I love to hunt...period. It doesn't matter if it's a rifle, slug gun, bow, pistol, or what have you, I just love to get out and hunt. There is no way I'm going to narrow my hunting horizons, Iwant to broaden them.....It will onlymake me a better hunter. I want to experience the hunt from many different angles and perspectives, something I could never do if I were stuck with one form of weapon.

I don't know how some of you guys/gals do it. I could NEVER limit my hunting experiences to just one form of weapon....too much to do and achieve.

Yep, I'll shoot it with a rifle...or any other weapon I have in my hands at the time!

You're missing out if you've never taken a 30.30 (open sights) and stalked deer through the brush. Of course the thread is asking for nothing but opinions, so there's mine. Also, to answer your original question, yes I'd take it with a rifle then do backflips.

I used to hunt with a shotgun during firearms season, but always hoped that the big ones would survive the guns (even mine) so I'd have a chance to take him with my bow. Since I use only my bow now for deer for all the seasons, I'd have to say that I wouldn't takeone with a gun.

I consider myself a hardcore bowhunter...But If I had a chance to kill an animal that made B&C with a firearm, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
