Most of the MatureBucks I've killed field dressed between 190# and 205# Yep I actually weigh them. The biggest body Buck I have killed field dressed 240#. He was a Pig! Rack only scored 136 and change.

Im in Illinois, the biggest one I killed dressed out at 230.

It was funny because a guy from Tennessee (hunting on the neighboring property) saw me shoot it and came over to help me drag him. He said most of his deer barely weigh half of what mine did- he was COMPLETELY wiped out when we got finished dragging, lol. Then he stood there staring at him and couldn't believe how big he was. It was the first time he had been to IL to hunt.

Thats a tough question. Even in a small area around me it changes. The deer by farm country are much bigger. The deer in the bigger woods grow slow. I have seen big woods fawns shot by bow in Dec. that I don't think made 45lb. dressed. Ths is true with antler growth as well. Given good feed and age bucks can get well over 200# dressed.

All weights are field dressed.

1.5 year: 120-130

2.5 year: 150-170

3.5 year: 170-200

4.5+: 200+
Well said John, good graph. My biggest buck dressed out at 210lbs from Minnesota. Its the one in my avatar.

He was 250 lbs + After I shot him (got down out of my stand)the area he stood in reeked like someone sprayed a gallon of tinks in a 10 yard radius....he was the biggest deer I've ever seen while hunting....
The buck I shot this year was around 250 field dressed too....man did he stink. It was raining hard while I pulled him out etc. All my clothes and me stunk too. It sticks out in my mind how much he smelled of the rut...

the pic doesn't do his size justice. His neck is 23" just under the jaw.
