I have no details...it's just the word on the streets.

I sure hope not. Love him or hate him, he added something to the web site.Imagine GregH, Germ, GR8, GMMAT, Atlas, Rob and Bwana on the same team, WOW!! Lookout, there would be some tears being shed by anyone that crossed their path lol. An internet powerhouse of epic proportions.

Well... if that's true - that's weak, b/c Atlas was a decent dude.

From the sheer entertainment value perspective - I'd say that Atlas was probably one of , if notTHE most amusingposter on this site - ever. Atlas was the check-and-balance system on the bowhunting board. He called everything exactly as he saw it. And that's coming from me totally froman unattached perspective.

Atlas wasn't apersonal friend of mine. Hell,he and I have probablyexchanged less than 5PM's since I joined this site... so... It's not like I'm just spouting off to defend afriend.

Atlasrepresented all that seems to be draining from this site:he was a regular guy who do ithis way. The hard way. Not afraid to give his honest opinion. No financial biases. He wasn't angling to become the next Terry Drury, orbrown-nosing his way to getting his own tv show. Atlas had no legion of strokers following him around and massaging his ego or swapping pats on the back.

Oh well... I've said my piece.

I agree I always enjoyed his debates and onesided-ness. But the "rules" can get any of us if we choose to breech them. Like I said I don't know what transpired.

But

I am pretty confident that it wasn't an unusual view-point that got him in hot water.



A quick member query on his name showed no results.

If Atlas has been bannned,disciplined,punished etc. it must be very recent because he was here within the last few day's.
I am with Fran with his take on Atlas.Atlas and I havn't always seen eye to eye but one or both of us is mellowing.
