Well... if that's true - that's weak, b/c Atlas was a decent dude.
From the sheer entertainment value perspective - I'd say that Atlas was probably one of , if notTHE most amusingposter on this site - ever. Atlas was the check-and-balance system on the bowhunting board. He called everything exactly as he saw it. And that's coming from me totally froman unattached perspective.
Atlas wasn't apersonal friend of mine. Hell,he and I have probablyexchanged less than 5PM's since I joined this site... so... It's not like I'm just spouting off to defend afriend.
Atlasrepresented all that seems to be draining from this site:he was a regular guy who do it
his way. The hard way. Not afraid to give his honest opinion. No financial biases. He wasn't angling to become the next Terry Drury, orbrown-nosing his way to getting his own tv show. Atlas had no legion of strokers following him around and massaging his ego or swapping pats on the back.
Oh well... I've said my piece.
