Again, this goes back to $. It is beneficial for the state to sell expensive tags monetarily in the short-run, which is all they seem to care about. Seriously, I hate Illinois so much I won't even fill up for gas there. The Land of Lincoln really has gone downhill since 1865 in many respects, deer management being the least important.

So, is it MI that has poor herd management, or is it the hunters' practices that are the problem? Same with Illinois? If the rules allow hunters to do "what is right", then should we really look to government to fix everything or is it something that we as a group should try to educate and fix on our own. Sorry, one of those days
