I think if you raise deer on your 1000 acre, fenced in, private hunting land planted with food plots and mineral licks you have to use the term "harvest"

I usually don't say harvest, I will say "taken" sometimes it just fits better than " I killed". Depends on towhom Im talking to. If Im talking on here, I sometimes say "take" sometimes I say kill. But when Im talking to the non-hunter, I will say take or arrowed, etc unless they say kill, and sometimes they do.

I always say, wacked!!!

Harvest is the word most Fish and Wildlife Org.'s use. To them it is a harvest. They do the math, figure out how many tags, what kind of tags etc. etc. They are not the ones, so to speak, in the field doing the killing part. They are the overseers of the farmers, which is us, who in turn harvest wildlife populations down to their estimated numbers.

Now hand me a glass of Brandy, fetch my slippers and my pipe. Tomorrow we shall harvest.

That was great whoever was poking fun with that!!!!!

I don't see the harm in any of the words nor the big deal.

i usually use the word "harvest" vs. "kill" when i'm talking to people who are apprehensive about hunting. "kill" is sorta harsh on the ears to someone who isn't used to it
