The early bird gets the worm!! Set the alarm loud and get up when it goes off, don't doze off and then be late getting to the stand and have a 150in buck come right under your stand when your only a third of the way up.

Get in the woods early and be patient. Saw deer 100% of the time.

I'd second this for me since I found myself logging some serious hours this year (more than any year before). I saw deer 95% of the sits, one doe harvest, but ZERO shot opps on a legal buck. Really odd year for me, and it has me rethinking some of my tactics. To go along with that, I need to plan entry/exit routes better, and resist the urge to hunt a "good" spot that doesn't have a good entry and exit route. Wait...was that more than one thing? |
