I tried one last year. It was very well made and the customer service was great.
However, I did not like the requirement to set the sight while deer were 'on scene'. Too much time, movement and the additional worry of having to reset the sight if the deer moved farther/closer.

I've got the 5500 model. I really, reallylike the ability adjust the brightness of the pin. No doubt you won't ever need to add any light to it for any situation, including inside a blind. Simple and smooth to adjust, and I haven't had any noticed noise from mine.
No plans on switching to any thing else for me.

I will beswitching to a 1 pin set-up this year for hunting. After many months of researching the best 1 pin sights . I ordered the HHa 5519XL Ultra.
It has the dial, rheostat, and 2in housing, and .019 pin.
I seen several guys comment on how youmove the dial or slider at the moment of truth. You really shouldnt have to unless the deer is way out there. If you set your single pin for 25 yards, with the speed of todays bows you will effective from 0 to 32 yards or so with 1 pin. In 20 years of bowhuntingtimber in theMidwestI have never shot awhitetail beyond 32 yards.
That is just my experience, and it certainly doesnt apply to hunting out west where the shots can be much longer.
If you are shooting at animals beyond that 32 yards or so,hopefully they are calm and not moving which will allow you timeto adjust. If they aren't it is probably a shot that you should not be taking anyway.

I first used the Optimizer Lite Elite, but later tried the Optimizer Lite Ultra and like both but the Ultra is the better of the 2 sights for me. I like the model with the .019 pin and 10' of fiber optic. Awesome!! I am a dealer so for a great deal give me a shot if you can't find them locally.

ORIGINAL: gutshot
I don't move my sight. I lock it in on 25 yards and compensate for anything over 30 yards. I'm dead on from point blank to 30 yards.

DS-XL5519. I absolutely love this sight. It really is 100% toolless in the adjustments. It is incredibly well built, perfect customer service, extremely bright pin that can be dimmed down in bright light, very precise sighting in procedure.
All in all I haven't been happier with any other sight I have ever used and would reccomend this one as well as most any other HHA sights to any one.

I have the OL5500 single pin on my left handed bow, no problems ever, have made marking points on sight, sighted into those yardage points, and have identified them with different colors using thin lines of enamal paint. Which allows me to quickly move from one to the other. I know what the yardages are on all colors. So far so good.
