RE: Workout

I'm in the gym 4-5 days a week religously off season. I go a couple times per week during season.

RE: Workout

I do. I don't always stick to it this early in the year, but the closer I get to hunting season, the more serious I get. I twisted my knee pretty bad during the season, and just now gettingover it.

Right now, I'm running/walking around ten miles a week (3 sessions per week-average 3 1/2 miles per) and I'm lifting twice a week (about an hour per-four sets, ten reps per set, curls, overhead press, upright rowing, bench press, etc...).

In a month or two, I'll be back up to fifteen miles a week running/walkingand lifting three times a week.

Anyone interested in a workout, body building style you can PM me, but you have to eat right or it won't happen, also you have to give more than a few weeks and then give up. I don't practice what I preach anymore, but It used to work for me when I was body building.

I don't really have a set workout scedule, but I'll try to strech out my shoulders and upper back before shooting. It seems to help with not getting too sore or tight.

RE: Workout

The closest I get to a workout anymore is getting up at 4:30 every morning. Yes, there is actually a 4:30 in the morning! I go out and do chores on this place and back in at 5:30 to get cleaned up for work. When I get home, I drive right past the mailbox and park the truck at home and then walk the half mile to the mailbox to check mail. Then on weekends, I'm cutting up trees and limbs that got knocked over in the December ice storm. When it snows, I have a small area that I shovel by hand before getting out the tractor to get the rest of the snow cleaned up. If that is considered working out, I do it everyday. If not, I guess I'm a lazy bum.

Now, every year a month before the rut starts, I start walking 5 miles a day to be able to to walk back to my stands without getting winded or sweaty. But as the other thread says, you must follow that up with a good healthy diet. As my wife is from Asia, I have no choice but to eat healthy except when I cook dinner.

I lift 3-5 days a week during the offseason. I hate cardio so I don't do much of that.Trying to get better about that.
