I am an admitted gear addict so I take WAAAYYY too much crap in the woods with me. Most of it never sees the light of day. Toward the end of the season I tried to simplify and carry necessities and will continue to do so, but I love my toys.

Lets take a peek into my backpack. knife, gps, 2 compasses, 2 lighters, bow hook, 2 deer calls, rattle bag, release, rope, folding saw, binos., camo netting, bottle to pee in, and sometimes my montana decoy. If it's an all day hunt I bring something to eat and drink.
I'm pretty close to this minus one compass, decoy, and the netting. Add my pocket chess computer (for long sits), usually some kind of small snack (banana, oranges, granola, etc.), and my range finder. Also depending on the weatherI might add raingear & extra socks.

By the way magicman54494 the log cabinisawesome and those are some great deer and pics.

As far as camo, bows, stands, etc. I keep it very simple usually because I am admittedly cheap(other responsibilities). Check my contest pics and buck pics from the past couple of seasons. Exact same camo (Walmart special pants & shirt clearanced for $29.99 like 4 years ago), same bow, same arrows, same stands(unless I find something on clearance). I do spring for new broadheads when I need them and scent free spray/detergent.

I like my Toys, but no way I use them all. I rarely if ever use any scent.

I keep it simple too. If it won't fit in my fanny pack I don't take it to the tree.

That's also the reason I liked my Whisker Buiscut when I had it. Even though I love my QAD with FOBs, I'm paranoid about something going wrong due to the moving parts.

Hunting the wind is Key in my Book. I've had spots I wanted to hunt but never got the right wind to hunt it for an entire season. I use Scent Blocker also, but I don't forget the Wind
