Leave the quiver on or take it off?

RE: Leave the quiver on or take it off?
I usually take my quiver off when I'm hunting from the ground. I've always practiced with my quiver off, so I thought it would be a good idea to leave it off during a hunt. When I hunt froma tree stand I usually leave it attached to my bow. (So I don't accidentally drop it....[8D])

I went to a removeable one piece quiver this past year. I always left my quiver on , but I have had deer catch my bright fletching moving when I am trying to get into shooting position.
Never again.

I take mine off because my arrows are stick out from the frame of the bow by about 3", so it is a little cumbersome if I want to rest the bow on my climber rail. I think I prefer it on the bow, but right now, just not practical to do it that way.

I think it depends a lot on preference. My Quiver is always on, whether I am practicing, spot & stalk hunting, or in a treestand. It helps me keep everything consistent and it doesn't bother me negatively a bit. Plus there is a many reasons why a hunter might need to take another shot, so having an extra arrow in the same 'secure' location, which is easily accessible, is always a good idea.

I used to have a 2 piece non detachable quiver and had now problems shooting w/ it on...
I now have a detachable so I am sure I will be taking it off in the stand now.
