New Release
#1
I am thinking about gettinig a new release, but would like some input. The 2 that I am thinking about are the T.R.U. Ball Pro Diamond Release, or the Tru-Fire 3D Hunter 4-Finger Camo Release. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

But prepare - everybody is going to tell you to get a Carter. Just lilke every "How's my form pic" elicits the "draw length too long" responses. Carter is the standard response to any question about releases. [8D] Doesn't matter what your question is. If your post contains the word "release", every other answer will contain the word "Carter".
Must be a good release. I just don't want to take out a home equity loan to pay for it.

I was also looking at these on Saturday. Just not sure I can make the switch from a wrist release to a hand held. Not sure if I can get a comfortable anchor. And 90.00 to just find that out is kinda hard to make the jump.

I have been wanting to try the two of them also, but as stated $90.00
to find out thats not for me is quite a chunk of change. Well I got
lucky, local shop had a Pro Diamond a guy wanted to sell. They let me
take it home to try it. To make a long story short, I really liked it and
bought it for $40.00. Now that I've shot it I would have paid $90.00
if I had to.

I was wanting to get into one of the hunting T handle release last year too. I shot every damn one I could get my hands on; Carters,Truballs etc. I finally ditched the whole idea and went with a new style buckle release that is different than any I have owned before. I am a Truball fan and I went with the Truball Short-n-Sweet. Has the hook up like a T-handle and shoots like a dream.

I picked up a Jimmy T from Jim Fletcher today. I have to be honest I'm a little disappointed. It felt like I had to pull extremely hard to get the release to go off. I followed the directions to adjust the screw. The screw was VERY hard to turn. So much so that I ended up twisting my allen wrench and rounding off the head. Now I'm screwed.
I feel like I've been taken for $70.
