Let's see what you got the little lady for...
Valentines Day. I gave my wife an 8 carat canary diamond. She has had it for a week as she couldn't wait as she knew she was getting it, as this is her same engagement ring that held her original 2 carat diamond. I have a diamond buyer connection that gave me a deal on this loose stone that I couldn't pass up. He bought it raw and cut it himself and donated his cutting time to us, and sold the diamond at cost. My wife is awesome and I was happy to see her smile and it's fun to see the look of her friends' eyes when they see it.
And to keep this bowhunting relatedI bought her a dozen A/C/C arrows too.[8D]  |

I got my wife what she gets every day of the year, a loving, devoted husband. I don't let Hallmark, or anyone else, dictate when I show her I love her. Before you start with the cheapskate talk, she has a 1.15 carat VS1 D clarity diamond on her left hand.;)

I love my wife, but I think Valentine's day is the biggest load of crap, rip off day ever created [:@]. I refuse to partake.
I will say Happy Valentine's day and maybe buy a card but that's it. My wife feels the same way. Thank goodness she does not care about jewlery or roses or any of the other stuff we are supposed to buy for this made up day. I let her know what she means to me every day and if she wants or needs something we discuss it and get it if we both agree. Same thing with me. |

My wife and I decided we would just make each other cards. So I made a card and wrote a little poem for her. Tonight we're sending the boy home with Grandma and were going out for diner and some cocktails with friends. We both agree with HuntinGus that the Hallmark Holiday is a little bit overrated.

We are the same way. The ring was completed so close to the holiday, I called it a Valentines present. We buy what we want ,with holidays never taken into account.:D

there are some of us who just give the wife the night off from the usuall. I ordered pizza and rented a move. If she cant appreciate that then to hell with her. By the way were getting a 50 1080i lg in june on our anniversary. I already have the hd dvd player with 1080i out put bust. And the bose surround sound.

In all seriousness, I told her that I will be moving back to Michigan from Chicago. I have been there 7 months and its hard to be away from her...and the woods! Now I'll get to gobow hunting a lot more this season! She was pretty excited that I will be moving back, it was tough on both of us, but sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do! |
