I will say Happy Valentine's day and maybe buy a card but that's it. My wife feels the same way. Thank goodness she does not care about jewlery or roses or any of the other stuff we are supposed to buy for this made up day.
I let her know what she means to me every day and if she wants or needs something we discuss it and get it if we both agree. Same thing with me.

My wife and I decided we would just make each other cards. So I made a card and wrote a little poem for her. Tonight we're sending the boy home with Grandma and were going out for diner and some cocktails with friends. We both agree with HuntinGus that the Hallmark Holiday is a little bit overrated.

We are the same way. The ring was completed so close to the holiday, I called it a Valentines present. We buy what we want ,with holidays never taken into account.

In all seriousness, I told her that I will be moving back to Michigan from Chicago. I have been there 7 months and its hard to be away from her...and the woods! Now I'll get to gobow hunting a lot more this season! She was pretty excited that I will be moving back, it was tough on both of us, but sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do!
