that deer looks injured to me. i would guess a coyote or dog. I've seen them on deer before and that's usually where they jump on them to get the back and neck area. just my op.

A big cat got after her in my opinion Check out this pic. I changed the brightness and look high on her back midway back. Looks like claw or bite marks to me

She looks mangy to me, a sick one like that needs to be taken out, she could infect the rest of the herd. You could let the DNR people know about her and see they might want to study why she is like that to make sure there are no new deaseas in the area. I would just put her out of her misery.

I'm guessing shot from above and it just skinned along under the skin after tearing up some back muscle. Second vote would be a whack by a car and skidding across the asphalt to take off some hide.
