$45 7-15X32 Bushnells for open country spot and stock. I can tell from a long way off whether they are want I want to chase after or not, but I do not need to know if it is aperfect 6X6or 5X6 or a broken brow tine to know if I want to chase them. Know what I mean? I have lost 2 pairs crawling through the scrub oaks of COand brush of Canada which means if they cost me $500 a piece I would still be crying. #1 advantage is they are tiny and light. A nice combo for hiking around all day. Just my worthless opinion though. Nice clear binos sure are nice to look through. Just unncessarily expensive and heavy for what I need.

I owned a pair of 10 X 42 Steiner Predators, not worth the money IMO. I have owned the cheap and the expensive, and I guess it depends on what you demand of your glass. I have owned a couple of pairs of Leupolds and honestly I think they are a Great mid priced bino. I currently have a set of 10 X 32 Katmai and they are really nice. I also hear a lot of good things about Vortex.

I have a pair of Vortex Viper 8x42 and love them. I have compared them to Swaro's and admit there is a difference but not enough to justify the price difference to me. Most people who test Vortex are converted. Lifetime fully transferable warranty also.

There are many great binos out there, obviously Steiner, Leupold, Swaroski etc..etc and you can pay top dollar for them. Over many years I've hunted and shot 3D with a pair of 10 x 50 Bruntons, for the money they are top notch as they are warranted well, water and fog proof. They may not be the $1000 variety but for the price, they rival them.

That being said, for IBO you cannot use anything over 8X so, in order to conform I'm another vote for the Nikon Monarch series. Again, for the money, they rival the $1000 ones.
