For those who use trail cameras

RE: For those who use trail cameras
This was my 1st year with one and I used it all deer season. Next year I may only use it early in the year and then put it back out after hunting season is over. I checked it too much this year I think and it might have effected our big buck hunting because our big buck pics went way down after I started checking it more.

So far, for the last three years, I've only put them out after the season was over for me. I take them back in after all of the bucks no longer have their antlers.

I put mine up for a couple of months pre-season......take it down about 3 weeks before the opener.
Reasons:
1. If I left it up during the season....that's just another reason to go check it......which I don't wanna do.
2. After the season.....I see no point. I'm only interested in what might be there for THIS season. Seeing a buck on film AFTER the season don't tell me if he's gonna be around for next year.
3. It's simply an "inventory" tool for me.
This is just my thought process. MANY ways to skin a cat.
