A lot of times for me it depends on the application or the bow. I have used both and it really doesn't matter either way personally. For shorter axle to axle bows a string loop helps with string pinch, and it also helps with peep alignment in some cases.

That being said I don't shoot any more accurately with a loop than I do without one if the bow is set up and tuned properly for each.

I'm kinda surprised this poll isn't a lot more lopsided. Don't know anyone who is still shooting off the string.

LOOP

I shoot off the sting but I guess I am the minority. That is how I have always shot and never really saw the need to add one my bow has always shot fine without it.

Only problem is my DL might be to long if i add a loop, so i might have to use the string [:@]

right off the string because of the release i have..

I would much rather change the loop than change the string . there is less wear and less pinch . i would have him put one on and try it out i think you will like it . If not you can take it off
