12's are weak and you probably won't even make it to season without having to buy more.I tried them for 3-d and they lasted about 1 month and I was down to 5 so I moved on.

Plus when the wall is that thin, there is alot of wobbling that goes on in the arrow when it hits something, that isn't even considering what happens on a bone hit.

That isn't to say they couldn't get the job done but there are much better choices,in the same spine range,if you want light, stay with the carbons.

Ok......I see your point. What is a thicker wall w/ the same spine and close to the same weight?

I don't necessarily want light.....somewhere in the 475 - 500 grain range...

Yep, that's what I was thinking......we just don't have those in the 78's...but we do in the 75's.........guess I could order them....but, they changed the damn spine ratings of the 78's this year........what's the equivalent I wonder?

I shoot 2413s in a 31 inch draw, never changed from aluminum...I'm currently shooting XX-78s, but used to shoot 75s, I don't think you will ever notice the difference...

You really won't get close to the same weight but

arrow spine gpi
2512 .321 10.3
2514.305 11.4
2413 .365 10.5
2314 .39110.8
2315 .342 11.8
2216 .376 12.1

All these are given in the XX78's

30" draw, 70#'s, and 28" arras.....could go longer, but not shorter. Oh, 100 grain points.

Man, I think I really need to go w/ the 25 series to get the proper spine...I think the 24's are too weak...11.4/inch is a bit more than I want though....

I was originally thinking the 2413, but like I said, I think they are a bit weak, and the 2512's are perfect and damn near the same weight.

In my experience, the 2216's are awesome arrows that tune really well for a wide range of setups but they are much heavier than what you want.

30" draw and 70#'s will give you more speed and energy than you will know what to do with. But we have been down this road before.
