WORST part of the show was when his dad launched an arrow into the sky at those sheep just so he could say he shot at one
totally . A waste of an arrow and litter on such great land.

I think those PSEs are only 60% let off.

I was watching Easton Reality Hunting this morning and there was an episode of this father and son bowhunting in Alaska for Mountain Goat. They were obviously sponsering PSE but I was impressed by the speed the son's bow was putting out. They chrono-ed it at 372 fps! I think he said it was a X force or G force 12??? He said it was the smoothest and quietest bow he ever shot...BS! Does anyone know what model it is?

Also, I must say, Alaska is beautiful! I envy anyone who ever got the chance to go there.
LostinWoods the show was not Easton's showbut PSE BOWHUNTING ADVENTURE.He said it was an early model X-Force set to pull 95 lbs and shooting 30" draw. He said he wanted that way in #s because he can pull it comfortably.
Personally the show was weak and the scenery cool.

to shoot the xforce at 370 fps at 95# he had to be using a much lighter arrow than is recommend, thats the only way i can see him reaching these speeds. And isent this bad for the bow? its almost like dry firing

Ya, that's not good for the bow at all. I remember being at a local shoot and some guy fired one of his kids arrows out of his bow (I forget what kind). He wanted to see how fast he could launch and arrow. We'll just say he brought his bow home in pieces...

Im surpirsed his bow isent broken yet, your supposed to use 475 grains, at that poundage, he must be using only around 300 grain or so arrows. Not to mention he loses almost 14 lbs of KE
( based on http://www.thearcheryhut.com/calculators.php)

Yea that kinda turned me off the show real fast after that. I mean just man up and take it that you couldnt get a shot. The kid said only 2 goats were killed in that area last year so I imagine it is not very easy with a bow.
