By shooting a longer distance shooting form has to be much better. A small error at a short distance turns into a big error at a long distance because the arrows wil diverge more. If you can tighten groups at long range, that means your form is getting better or at least more consistent.

Ossage, I know what you mean. I can practice the long shots during the summer no problem. But when it is bad outside, I ussually shoot in the basement at about 12 yards. When I do that I aim at holes in the bag made from previous shots. It also works well.
