#2 and as Taz says, a doe every year to fill the freezer! If that buck ever comes I will take it, if not, it is the hunt and the meat in the freezer, old bucks are pretty tough, so I been told!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I would go with #2, CBM SC said it all. I've seen a few guys get so aggravated and disgusted they almost gave up bowhunting. I'm out there to get away from stress not make my hobby stressful. I've had some really fun days with friends shooting does.

#2 for me. I love to hunt. I don' t do it for the size of the rack on an animals head. A doe is as much of an accomplishment as a buck. If I could only shoot does I would still hunt. The same effort goes into taking a doe as does a buck, but I would still like a 180" class double drop tine monster to walk by my blind, or treestand.

I want to shoot a monster buck as well as anyone, but I wouldn' t sacrifice my couple or three deer a year for one big one. The two large bucks (at least here they are) I' ve killed with the bow were rather uneventful compared to some of the does I' ve managed to take. I' ve got some mature does that I' ve been after for several years now and the darn things are almost impossible to kill with a bow. I consider them trophies as well as a large buck, they just don' t have the big horns to put on the wall. They are a darn sight harder to kill though.
