That guy is a idiot. In WI after the season opens and you buy your Licence it's not valid for 3 days. It is to prevent people from skipping out on the tag.I don't know what MI law is but they should have something in place for idiots like that.

I have gotten to the duck blind before realizing that I forgot to buy a stamp
but I took my shotgun back to the truck and was the designated caller.
I can see that someone could honestly forget to buy a license. But then, I know how the "other half lives"

I would buy "he forgot to bring his hunting licenses" but "to forget to buy a hunting license"-nope. He was/is a poacher. He was caught and The Michigan DNR did a fine job!

Similar thing happened to a friend of mine in the UP of Michigan. He went hunting with a client (he's a veterinarian) and was told that noone buys a tag unless you get a deer first. This was during gun season. I'm not sure but I think in Wi you cannot purchase a tag once the season starts. Anyone know about this?
